Hubbard/Birchler

Overview

In a career of more than fifteen years the artist duo Teresa Hubbard and Alexander Birchler have become known for their picturesque, color-saturated photographic series and their deliberately slow-paced video installations, which feature slow pan shots, endless loops, and puzzling plot lines. No Room to Answer presented key works from 1991 to 2008, starting with their early staged photographs through their four most recent video installations: Eight, 2001, Single Wide, 2002, House with Pool, 2004, and Grand Paris Texas, 2008.  Following its presentation in Fort Worth, the exhibition traveled to the Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart in Germany.

The artists live and work in Austin, Texas.
